Streamline Application Monitoring The Streamline OpenToolBox Appliance is designed and optimized for management of real-time applications and services. And once deployed, it is an excellent platform and architecture for delivery of other highly valuable IT management services. One popular implementation exploits the OTB's ability to capture and deliver to Streamline Central any SNMP traps. Although originally designed for managing network devices, this feature enables the OTB to also monitor application servers. Significantly, Streamline can also monitor and report on the network effects of applications that aren't realtime. Streamline reports on the network protocols passing through major network nodes and can articulate the range of bandwidth consumption. With Streamline, application monitoring can be greatly simplified since the same analytical tools for realtime VoIP traffic management and realtime unified communications are used to detect problems and diagnose complex application interactions for other important, mission-critical business applications. Finally, the tools and platforms to manage and monitor all applications are consolidated. Troubleshooting application performance bottlenecks with a Streamline implementation is therefore faster and easier since engineers use the same dashboard, drill down screens and knowledgebase.
