Streamline PBX Monitoring
Legacy TDM PBXs have proprietary applications and APIs for monitoring purposes. They also have proprietary software tools to perform MACs or to activate features or otherwise change configurations. When these systems were being developed, SNMP was only for data networking and there were no MIBs for digital PBXs, let alone Ethernet interfaces on these systems. Many offer Ethernet management ports today.
As well, the mechanisms for quality of experience management are different. User complaints about voice quality are addressed with changes to the digital wiring loop or to the physical connection. There is no need or mechanism for MOS calculation since there is no delay, jitter or packet loss. To complete the comprehensive value proposition, Streamline offers the ability to monitor leading vendors' TDM PBXs, from the same software, appliance and SaaS infrastructure as is available to monitor IP PBXs.
